Dr. Felix Effah

Dr. Felix Effah is a Ghanaian-Italian neuropharmacologist and toxicologist whose academic and professional journey reflects a deep commitment to advancing healthcare through scientific research and public engagement.

Dr. Effah's educational path began with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology from London, where he graduated with first-class honors. He then pursued a Master's in Neuropharmacology and Translational Medicine at St George's, University of London, focusing on the application of scientific knowledge to address healthcare challenges. He continued at St George's for his PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology, conducting research on the effects of e-cigarette vapor on neurochemical parameters and organ toxicity. During his doctoral studies, he also spent time at New York University Grossman School of Medicine under the guidance of Professor Terry Gordon. Dr Effah has won several awards from the British Pharmacological Society, British toxicology society and UK Health Agency.

Professionally, Dr. Effah has contributed to the UK Health Security Agency as a research scientist, where he explored toxicological assessments of e-cigarette flavors using 3D lung models. Currently, he serves as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Rochester Medical Center, specializing in neuropharmacology, toxicology, exposure science, inhalation toxicology, and 3D lung modeling.

Beyond his scientific endeavors, Dr. Effah is an author and public speaker. His book, Overcoming: In a world of limitless opportunities, failure is just an option.
